House groups restarting

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

House groups at St Edyth’s are a valuable way of learning and growing together, and we encourage people to be involved in some sort of group like this.
After a long absense because of Alpha and our Lent course, house groups are restarting after Easter. A new addition is a house group for 20s and 30s, which is starting with a social event on Sunday 30th March.
If you would like to be involved in a group then please speak to David or Edward, or contact us for more information.

Holiday Club 2008 - change of dates

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

Every year we like to run a holiday club for children from 3 years old to the end of Infant school. In previous years this has been during the Easter holidays. The clubs are great fun, with lots of games, stories, craft and plenty of fun.
THis year, the dates of the Easter holidays mean that we are unable to run it then. Instead, we are planning to run our holiday club towards the end of August. We will post the dates here as soon as they are confirmed.
In the meantime, do contact us if you have any questions about the holiday club.

Stewardship @ St Edyth’s

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

Over four Sundays in October and November, we’ll be looking at Stewardship. As Christians, we believe that God has given us life and everything that is a part of that: our world, our relationships, our personalities, our abilities, our wealth and much more besides.
We hope that during these services and the times between them, we will all have a chance to think and pray about what and where God might be calling us to give. This isn’t just about money: we’ll also be looking at time and talents. And it isn’t just about a narrow definition of church: it’s about how we spend time with our families and communities, our working lives and everything else that we do each week.
If you have any questions about the Stewardship series then do contact us for more information.

Harvest service and lunch - 30th September

Friday, September 14th, 2007

Our harvest service this year will be on Sunday 30th September. The service will be for all ages, and will start at our usual time of 10:30am. We would love to welcome you there.
During the service we will be invited to bring gifts: this year our gifts will be going to one of the organisations we support in Bristol, One25. They work with vulnerable women in the centre of Bristol, and would appreciate gifts of toiletries (like shampoo, make-up, toothpaste) or dry food (like cereals and tins).
After the service you are welcome to join us for lunch in the church hall - there is no charge for this and we would love to have you join us as we celebrate God’s goodness together.
