St Edyth’s is an evangelical Anglican church on the west side of Bristol. We have a diverse congregation from many different backgrounds and church traditions, and all are welcome to join us.
The church was built at around the same time as the surrounding suburb, in the 1930s. It continues to serve the local community through its services, groups and events, and through its interaction with the community.
The links on the left give you some idea of are aims and vision, our local community and those we support working in other areas.
Staff
Many people work in the church, and we encourage the involvement and participation of those in our congregation and community. However, we also have 2 full-time members of staff who work in various areas of the life of the church.
Rev David Izzard
David is the vicar of St Edyth’s, and has been at the church since 1998. He is married to Lorraine, and they have three teenage children. Before becoming a vicar, David was the General Manager for an office refurbishment company. In his spare time he enjoys body boarding, working out at the gym and spending time with his family.
Rev Erica Bebb
Erica is the Assistant Curate and works part-time. The rest of the time she continues her ministry in the performing arts for which she is also licensed by the Bishop. Erica has worked diversely in theatre and Christian dance and previous to that worked as a Speech and Language Therapist. She is married and has three daughters, and in her spare time she enjoys fun with the family and especially the occasional treat of a good theatre show or film.
