Welcome to St Edyth’s Church!
If you are new or visiting, you are so welcome! Our lovely welcome team would love to pass you a ‘welcome card’ in the church foyer if you would like us to get in touch with you or maybe have a chat over a coffee. We’d love to keep you up to date on information about services, events and much more.
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on a foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.” Ephesians 2:19-20
Our main church services are weekly on a Sunday at 10:30am and include a creche and children’s group (Sept-July). On the first Sunday of the month we have our main Holy Communion service and on the last Sunday of each month an All-Age family service. There are usually refreshments after these service which we hope you can stay for and enjoy.
If you prefer to come earlier, we have a weekly Holy Communion service at 8:45am on a Sunday, or there is our mid-week service on Tuesday at 10am.
What to expect from our services?
A welcoming smile on arrival – we try to have someone at the entrance for our main 10.30am Sunday service to make you feel at home and help you with anything you may be unsure of!
Prayer, Praise & Worship – through the month our services vary in style and content, with Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month, Morning Worship during the month and for the last Sunday of the month we have an All-Age service for the whole family. Generally, our 10.30am services have an informal, relaxed feel, and a ‘come as you are’ culture.
Refreshment & Chat – After most services we serve tea and coffee, and this a great opportunity to catch up with others and get to know your church family.
